Since most employers are not trying to harm their employees — but make simple mistakes that can lead to lawsuits — Cohen described solutions for avoiding problematic circumstances in the first place.
By creating a lively forum to explain to employers easy techniques for eliminating the chances of being sued, Cohen demonstrated a path to success: understand your goal; ensure you create a cohesive and integrated system in hiring, disciplining and terminating employees; and perform those processes from a non-subordinate position.
